Plan Outline

This plan is for a Graduate Diploma in Biological Science (Research).

This program is designed to meet the needs and objectives of individual students building on students' competence and experience. It includes a formal coursework component and a research project, which is carried out under the supervision of a member of the academic staff. Students recieve advanced formal training to provide them with research and presentation skills relevant to their research project.

The School has a wide range of interests, and training and research are offered in both plant and animal sciences. Areas of Biological Science in which facilities and appropriate supervision are available include; ecology, taxonomy, environmental physiology, marine and fisheries biology, genetics and evolution, mycology, ultra structure, comparative physiology, mammalian studies.
