Plan Summary
The Tourism Marketing specialisation is designed for students with no prior formal knowledge of the sector who wish to acquire the knowledge and skills to work in the rapidly expanding global tourism industry. The specialisation prepares students for management roles in tourism marketing, conference planning, consulting firms, international hotels, and events and attractions management.
This specialisation focuses on the tourism and hospitality industry, specifically on the planning, promotion and delivery of attraction, events, meetings, transport and lodging. In order to qualify for the Tourism Marketing specialisation, in addition to core and elective courses students must complete
2 disciplinary core courses:

Hands on operational study and industry work placement is optionally available, in parallel, through a nationally accredited training provider located next to the UNSW Kensington campus. This not only gives graduates important practical skills, but also gives them the chance to obtain the Diploma of Tourism and Hospitality Management Studies.
