Plan Summary
The Graduate Certificate in Arts in Interpreting (program 7325, plan code MODLDS7325) aims to prepare students for professional activities as interpreters. Courses in interpreting are offered in English and the following languages: French, German, Indonesian, Japanese, Korean, Russian and Spanish.
The program is intended for students who have a BA or equivalent with a major in a language and native or near-native bilingual proficiency. Students who have successfully completed the requirements for the Graduate Certificate may apply to upgrade to the Master of Arts or Graduate Diploma in Interpreting and Translation Studies. Students are required to take two courses from the MA in Interpreting and Translation Studies program. The 16 units of credit are made up of one core course and one elective course from the list below:
