Description

As events in Syria, the Ukraine, Japan, Pakistan and India over the last two decades have shown, nuclear, chemical and biological weapons remain high-level global security concerns. They are also strategically complex policy challenges, both for states and global governance. Using a mix of the best academic and policy writing, this course provides an overview of the history of weapons of mass destruction, the major control and disarmament regimes, strategic debates and doctrine, and new perspectives on the past and future of WMDs and global security.
