Description

This course provides students with advanced knowledge in underground hard rock mechanics as required for the safe and economic extraction of ore and tunnelling in hard rocks under high stress conditions. The course is structured to give postgraduate students in depth knowledge in each of the subject areas including real life case histories. Students are also provided future directions and emerging technologies in the relevant subject areas, as search continues for ways of improving mine safety and economic extraction of minerals.
