Description

This course will be provided online with a voluntary workshop. The focus of this course is on the investigation of hospital and community outbreaks. The course will begin with an examination of current theories relating to outbreak investigations, response planning and infection control and prevention. You will learn your infectious disease outbreak skills, using Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS), Ebola, foodborne, and hospital outbreaks. You will learn about the threat of antibiotic resistance, understanding infection control precautions and the impact of emerging infectious diseases to the global community.
