Description

Addresses philosophical views underlying educational practices and debates. Examines topics such as aims in education, the ideal of an educated person, neutrality and indoctrination in teaching, authority relations in schooling, curriculum construction, intelligence testing, learning and understanding, and other topics, in order to develop philosophical competence and knowledge. The work of one educational theorist is examined.
