Description

Introduces the contextual frame of the individual-in-relationship. Explores systemic understandings, family-sensitive practice, and counselling orientations to strengths and resilience. Identifies postmodernist emphases in contemporary counselling theories. Explores the counselling relationship, including the social worker's use of self, engagement and the counselling relationship, and ethics and boundaries in the counselling context.
