Description

This course provides the opportunity for students to explore, in theoretical and practical terms, an introduction to 3D CAD computing as a design practice, and to investigate the problem solving potential of technologically mediated design through 3D modelling.

The course is based around a design studio with 3D modelling as the major medium for facilitation and communication. Through project based explorations and critical analysis, students are initially led though a design brief, where various coded solutions are sourced as to the generation of responsive concepts and their creative expression. Technological mediation, social and environmental impact will be explored through project work. Students will engage in a range of individual and group work activities.
