Description

Epidemiology is the study of factors that impact on the occurrence and outcome of diseases in human populations. The course introduces the main statistical concepts, methods and models used in the design and analysis of epidemiological studies. Extensive use of statistical computing and analysis of real datasets is an essential part of this course.

Pre-requisites: 24 units of level III mathematics or a degree in a numerate discipline or permission of the Head of Department.
