Description

The course provides an overview of communication disorders, and augmentative and alternative (AAC) communication approaches for individuals with severe communication impairments. Emphasis is on developmental considerations, ecological needs, educational considerations, clinical assessments, selection and implementation of augmentative systems, and research-based practices. This course is part of the UNSW/DET Retraining Program, and will be one of two online offerings.
