Description

The course "Educational Leadership for Gifted Students" will provide direction for aspiring and practicing leaders in relation to best practice models for the education of gifted students. The course will consider the role of the educational leader in developing all four of Gagnes domains. Current theory and research will underpin best practice in relation to curriculum, pedagogy, policies and programs.The course will deal with individual student needs as well as students grouped in specialist schools.

The course consists of four modules which can be completed individually as separate professional learning courses and accredited by the NSW Institute of Teachers or concurrently as an elective course contributing to the Graduate Certificate of Educational Leadership or Master of Educational Leadership.

  • Grouping of students
  • Curriculum and Pedagogy
  • Policies and Programs
  • Specialist Schools and Classes.
