Description
Sources and distribution of water, wastes and energy supplies, application of electrical power, hydraulics, vertical transport, fire protection in buildings, security, telecommunications. Air conditioning, heating and ventilating of buildings. Equipment selection and space allocations for these services. Students will be able to undertake preliminary selection and sizing of systems, and to translate them into space and planning requirements for complex buildings. Assignments include tutorial projects and/or field investigations, and open book examination.
