Description

This course is designed to help students develop skills in architecturally interpretive sketching and free-hand drawing. It involves intensive hand-on exercises that are to be supported by intermittent group discussion and lectures. Exercises will be carried out on pre-selected locales of different kinds. Attention will be directed to producing interpretive drawings rather than documentary ones, emphasising architectural spatiality and atmosphere constituted and/or enhanced by certain aspects of the objects, such as form, detail, material, texture, light, and overall setting, which capture the mind upon viewing.
