![]()
Description "Systemic Failure" became a familiar summation for project disasters of the 20th century, from bridge collapses to hospital demolition. This course focuses on understanding the "systemic" in complex projects, to minimise risk of failure. This unit provides a foundation in general systems theory and then focuses on systems thinking competencies relevant to the project organisation, addressing methodologies and tools such as soft systems methodology, cognitive mapping, causal loop and influence diagrams and system archetypes. These methodologies provide insight into the capability maturity of project delivering organisations.
