Description This course examines definitions and concepts relating to sex, sexuality, crime and deviance. It considers multiple meanings of these key concepts, and enables theoretical understandings of sex and crime in the intersectionality of gender, race, and age. The subject examines selected recent developments and ongoing debates around sex and crime in contemporary criminology. Finally, the course encourages a critical appreciation and discussion about policy reform, law and social norms in relation to sex and crime.
