Description This course aims to provide a solid grounding in the theory, history and practice of psychometric assessment in organisations. The role of psychological tests and other psychological assessment methods in selection and recruitment, workforce development, performance management and professional development is covered. The course provides students with an understanding of alternative assessment methods in organisational settings. Ethical issues in relation to the use of psychological tests and the use of psychological tests in relation to equity and diversity issues are highlighted. This knowledge forms part of the foundation for professional practice in organisational psychology.
