Description Accounting: A User Perspective is designed for those who use accounting information, rather than those whose task it is to prepare it. The focus is on the understanding and use of accounting information as well as the composition and meaning of the financial statements. The course covers accounting reports prepared for external users as well as accounting reports used by managers to plan, control and make decisions.
Prerequisite: This course is offered by the MBT Program. All students enrolling in MBT courses must have at least four years relevant professional experience. Excluded: Students who have completed ACCT5912 or COMM5912 are not permitted to enrol into this course.
