Description

The course introduces postgraduate research students to the many career paths that are open to them once they graduate. The concept of professional skills and knowledge is introduced, with students identifying their future education needs if they are to become effective researchers who are of benefit to the Australian community. Students develop expertise as it relates to their primary field of study in the areas of intellectual property management, market research, research funding, and commercialisation and/or practical implementation of research outcomes. The interactions, and the different perspectives, imperatives and priorities of various collaborative professions and fields are explored.
