Description

This course reviews data management principles, including both simple and complex file designs, and the concept of database management systems. Case studies and assignments embody these principles. Alternative database management system architectures, including network, hierarchical and relational approaches are covered, as well as database query systems and relational algebra. A popular database management package will be used to complete a project assignment.
