Description

This course provides practising school teachers with the required subject knowledge background with the opportunity to gain a new and/or updated specialist teaching method at an advanced level through appropriate specialist studies in methodology and curriculum design and through a cross-disciplinary program of seminars and on-line interaction. Method areas available include English, English as Second Language, Drama, Languages (Chinese, Japanese, Korean, French, German, Spanish), History, Geography, Economics, Business Studies, Mathematics and Science. Topics include different approaches to learning and teaching in the specialist area, including historical, socio-cultural, and psychological issues, and the planning and evaluation of individual lessons and units of work, including the incorporation of effective strategies, techniques and resources for assessment, learning and teaching.
