Description

This course introduces the key concepts of logistics management. Logistics is concerned with all the processes involved in getting materials and goods to the point where they are needed. This course will include a discussion of order processing, transportation, warehousing, materials handling and reverse logistics. In each case the logistics function needs to serve the needs of the customer. There will be a discussion of key technology and information systems enablers such as RFID tags, and the course will also focus on the strategic elements of a global logistics system.
