Description

This course explores the theory and pratice of writing Creative Nonfiction. It focuses on short forms such as the biographical profile, the feature article, the personal essay, travel writing and the memoir. Methods of nonfiction research are considered with a focus on practising and developing interviewing skills. Consolidates high level language and self-editing skills through a review of grammar, punctuation and text presentation. This course provides students with the opportunity to research and write a portfolio of Creative Nonfiction to a publishable standard.

Note: Previous experience in journalism or nonfiction writing is not required.
