Description

Provides students with the opportunity to develop and pursue an independent research project in a scholarly field of their choice. Students must devise a research proposal outlining their field of research, their research questions and their methodology. In consultation with an academic supervisor, students will compile a bibliography and conduct independent research leading towards the completion of a 10 000 word dissertation. Completion of this course will provide students with the research experience necessary for entry into a research higher degree.

Students will normally be expected to have completed 24uoc with a Distinction average before being considered for this course. Enrolment requires special permission from the Head of School, and is dependent on the availability of academic supervision.
