Description This course gives students a working knowledge of static and dynamic optimisation techniques applied in economics. Topics include classical optimisation, comparative statics, non-linear programming, differential equations and optimal control.
All techniques introduced are illustrated with mainstream applications such as consumer theory and the neo-classical theory of optimal growth.
