Description

Construction projects are increasingly large, complex, multifaceted, culturally diverse and socio-politically intertwined. To accomplish the project objectives effectively, project managers must be able to lead effectively. For this, the project leaders should be able to align the demands and expectations of various project stakeholders, empower their team members and serve their organizations, clients and society at large. To develop as authentic leaders, project managers need to discover their purpose for leadership, lead with heart, develop connected relationships and demonstrate the highest level of self-discipline.

This course will explore the theoretical underpinning of leadership, examine strategies for effecting leadership in the context of project management, and practice leadership development. It includes an introduction to the project management process and project management techniques specific to the construction and property industries
