Description

This course offers the opportunity to develop a range of research skills such as the following: Ability to search and critically read the literature, develop a research question, develop aims and hypotheses, awareness of ethical considerations, skills in data collection, data analysis, and interpretation of outcomes, and verbal and written communication skills. Participants in the course must elect to focus on one of two skills sets, with an emphasis on literature review, study design, ethical considerations and communication in the first option, and on literature review, data collection and analysis, ethical considerations and communication in the second option. If focusing on the first option, the course may be taken by distance, but the second option must take place on campus.
