Description Military Sports Medicine 1 covers important musculoskeletal injuries commonly seen in a military environment. All major joints, and their relevant injury patterns are considered. The shoulder, lower back, knee, and shin are given special attention, given their relative contribution to presentations in a military setting. Each week, students are introduced to key principles of sports medicine, relevant to pathology discussed within that module, and elsewhere in the course. Directed examinations for regional conditions are presented weekly by experts in that field, to aid diagnosis and management.
