Description This course is designed to provide a sound foundation for study in international health development. The intensive learning experience is based on a realistic scenario of health issues and challenges commonly experienced in resource poor countries. Successful completion of this course will require application of pertinent knowledge, practice of skills and reflection on professional practice. It constitutes a core course for students who wish to undertake the Master of Public Health in International Health & Development. The first part of the course will focus on orientation to international health issues and scenario based learning that focus on a detailed situational analysis of health care in a developing country. The second part will focus on formulation of strategies and project management to address the issues identified in the situational analysis.
