Description

Explores Australian drama and theatre using selected examples from the bush realists of the 1920s and 1930s to the present day. Examines a range of different approaches to the study of Australian theatre and performance, drawing on debates about nationalism, the discursive construction of Australian identity, issues of politics and community, and postcolonial theory. Where appropriate, examples are drawn from the current HSC curriculum.
