Description

1. Economic/financial principles of valuation that can be applied to value ANY asset.
2. Legal applications include:
  • Mergers and takeovers.
  • Valuation of intangible assets, such as marital property in divorce proceedings.
  • Valuation of start-ups and companies in financial distress.
  • Valuation of intellectual property, including brand names, trade secrets, patents and copyright.
  • Valuation of a professional practice.
  • Role of taxation and bankruptcy law in valuation.
  • Transfer pricing: Role of valuation in international tax planning.
