Description This course covers current management issues in the deployment of information systems and information technology. It deals with the relationship between the organisation and its information systems, strategic and tactical planning for information systems, and the management of the development and acquisition of systems and technology. Attention is paid to issues such as outsourcing, business continuity planning and the provision of information for decision-makers. The focus is on management, not the technology itself.
Prerequisite: This course is offered by the MBT Program. All students enrolling in MBT courses are required to have at least four years relevant professional experience. |
