Topics include: tourism models and tourism statistics; tourism segments; private and public sectors; the distribution chain; transport; accommodation and food services; legal aspects of tourism; the tourism workforce and sustainable development principles.
A feature of the course is a field trip to the Rocks in Sydney to meet tourism planners and operators and view their products and operations.
