Description This course gives an overview of Risk Management following the format of the Australian Standard in Risk Management (AS/NZS4360). Tools and techniques applicable to each step of the risk management process are discussed using examples application to the class. The same risk management process is applied to manage all types of risk in all types of organisations. This course is therefore relevant as part of a wide variety of postgraduate courses and students from any postgraduate course are accepted if numbers permit. The student selects examples for exercises to suit the industry and role in which they work (or intend to work). At the end of the course, students should be able to use risk management tools applicable to their specific interest and have an awareness of tools used in other industries.
Note: Also offered in off campus mode in S2, short course mode in X1 (XB) (compulsory 4 day workshop plus assessable tasks completed subsequently), and web delivery mode in X1(XA). |
