This year we have embarked on an ambitious program to “rethink” the classroom, and have opened an exciting new teaching space for discussion and collaboration, for doing and engaging in a new model of experiential learning. We’ve always known that the best learning happens when you take an active approach, and future business leaders also need to know how to apply their theoretical skills, solve problems, work in teams and negotiate ideas.

We have also introduced two new degree programs this year, the combined Bachelor of Commerce/Bachelor of Science/Advanced Science, and a Bachelor of Commerce/Bachelor Design (Hons). And our newest course elective, Creating Social Change – From Innovation to Impact, focuses on models for social innovation across business, government and not for profit organisations.

Some of the most rewarding opportunities for undergraduate students at UNSW Business School are outside the classroom. I encourage you to make the most of your time here and seize every opportunity that comes your way, whether it’s leadership and networking through our student clubs, or an exchange program with top international business schools in Asia, the USA or Europe.
