The Built Environment (BE) www.be.unsw.edu.au is unique in Australia in the range of disciplines it offers, including: Architecture, Construction Management, Industrial Design, Interior Architecture, Landscape Architecture, Planning & Urban Development, Urban Policy, Urban Design, Property Development and Sustainable Built Environment.

BE has an academic structure aimed at encouraging synergy among the disciplines in the Faculty as well as providing flexibility for students in the range of courses they are able to select. The undergraduate and postgraduate programs offered by the Built Environment are well established and well regarded by employers. Each program integrates the academic discipline as well as the practical skills required for professional practice. BE also provides opportunities for graduate and professional studies, and for research in and across the fields of the natural, modified and built environment.

BE has a reputation for the excellence of its staff and students and is professionally recognised nationally and internationally. Approximately 20 per cent of enrolments are international students.
