Faculty Electives

For Undergraduate Students

faculty
The Faculty offers a broad range of over 100 elective courses that may be selected as part of any of the undergraduate programs. They are also generally available to all students in the University, subject to appropriate prerequisite knowledge. These may be identified in the course descriptions by their subject area, BENV: Built Environment. They all have course codes in the form of BENVXXXX. These courses are generally offered in only one semester each year and students are advised to check availability and timetabling for these electives on the UNSW Class Timetable(Class Timetable).

In addition, students undertaking programs which require the study of open electives may select courses associated with programs in another faculty. For further clarification regarding Open Electives please contact the FBE Student Centre

The University's basic requirements are the same for students in all single degree programs. Students must satisfactorily complete 12 units of credit in General Education or their equivalent (unless entitled to exemption as prescribed in the University rules). For further information regarding General Education please see the UNSW Handbook General Education
