Australian Studies

Description

Australian Studies examines Australian culture and society from a variety of perspectives and disciplines including English, History, Politics, Sociology, Social Policy, Indigenous Studies, Environmental Studies, Film Studies, Music and Art History. You will learn to critically understand the shifting ideas Australians have held about our history, identity and tradition.

What you will study

You will be introduced to Australian Studies through the course Australian Legends that investigates Australian imagery such as the Bush Legend, White Australia, and the Land of the Fair Go. Our courses take advantage of our location in Sydney, with exciting opportunities to experience the rich diversity of Australian culture, including site visits to the Anzac Memorial and The Rocks.
