Description

The study of Music at UNSW enables you to develop your musicianship and musical skills for professional work in areas as diverse as performing, teaching, broadcasting, recording, arts administration, concert planning, music and general arts journalism, arranging and composing.

What you will study
You will undertake core studies in musicology, musicianship, performance, composition, music history, style, musical analysis, music in its cultural and social contexts. Studies in music technology and jazz are available as electives. At the same time, you will have enough flexibility in your program to enable you to combine music studies with substantial work in a related discipline such as creative writing, theatre, film, English literature, languages, history, philosophy, and media studies.
