Plan Outline

This plan is for a single major in International Business.

A single major sequence in International Business consists of at least 48 units of credit in International Business Studies required and options courses.


International business is a rapidly growing field of study dealing with the development, strategy and management of multinational enterprises. Business is becoming increasingly international and the most effective leaders and professionals of the future will be those who know how to deal with the problems of doing business and managing organisations in a complex and uncertain global business environment.

Plan Structure

Students must complete:
  • 48 units of credit from the International Business list to fulfil requirements for a single Major.
  • 42 units of credit from the International Business list to fulfil requirements for a double Major
  • MGMT1101 and MGMT1102 any two courses from International Business list (excluding languages) to fulfil requirements for a minor

Required Courses

List A

At least one option must be chosen from List A
  • MGMT3103 Global Stakeholder Management (6UOC)

List B
Note:
1. Other modern languages may be taken as List B options.

2. Students may count relevant courses offered in the Faculty of Arts and Sciences as List B options with the approval of the Head of School.

Honours Level study is also available in International Business.Students interested in studying at Honours Level should refer to the Honours plan record for entry requirements.
