Description

This course examines a range of laws governing information technology. The topics examined include e-commerce contract formation issues including the unfair contract term provisions of the Australian Consumer Law; specific aspects of tortuous liability; data protection and privacy; intellectual property law - patents, copyright (in relation to protection of software) and trademarks (in respect to protection of domain names); licensing; internet content regulation and current issues.
