Description

Media Apps and Digital Publication is designed for Art & Design students, particularly those involved in screen production, seeking to present their work in new media spaces. It's of interest to anyone that seeks to publish their outcomes in responsive formats for entertainment, research, public relations, training or other media needs. It addresses current trends in electronic media publication; mobile and wearable devices, cloud services, smart screens and so on. These venues have a growing audience, where traditional venues such as books and cinema are in decline.

Completion of the course will assist you to design your creative works for interaction, to publish research in new ways to more audiences, to develop teaching and learning tools for secondary education and help engineer better tools for artistic expression.

Useful entry skills include photography, writing, typography and layout. This elective does not require programming skills, but may be useful to computer science students who want more experience and collaboration in digital publishing formats.
