Description

This is a practical course providing an introduction to methods of accurately communicating the shape of designed objects with technical drawing systems. Students are introduced to the conventions of engineering drawing with reference to ISO and Australian Standards. Manual drawing methods as well as computer applications are employed in practical exercises and assignments. Some card model making will also be included as a means of transfer of information from drawing to making. Isometric and perspective drawing constructions are also learned so that students will have a range of drawing techniques to support their work and further skill development in other courses.
