Description

"Exposure to professional engineering practice is a key element in differentiating a professional engineering degree from an applied science degree." (Engineers Australia)

In order to satisfy the EA expectations of a graduating engineer, students need to have exposure to professional practice. At UNSW, this means at least the equivalent of 60 days of relevant Industrial Training (80 days for those studying Mining Engineering). Students get first-hand experience in an engineering-practice environment. This can be completed in shorter blocks and students must obtain permission through their school for each block.

This course is for students to submit their Industrial Training report and show they satisfy the requirement.

Note: Enrolment in this course will be managed by the School in which the engineering stream is offered. Students will only be enrolled in this course when they have already completed their Industrial Training.
