Description

Subject Area: Education

This course is designed for students to learn about theories and practices of assessment. It introduces the participants to general concepts of assessment and measurement that are applicable in classroom, more generally educational, settings. It will describe the theories and techniques that teachers and test developers can use to guide and design their assessment and teaching practices. Specific topics covered include preparation of assessment tasks, roles of teacher feedback in student learning, assessment moderation, teacher judgements of student learning as well as how to score, interpret, and report on student achievement and assessment results.
