Description

Landscape Design for Wellbeing is a course that is centred on understanding holistic concepts like wellbeing, restoration, social inclusion and health and their implications for design. Outdoor environments will be in focus but these concepts transcend any one type of environment and we will look at their implications for design more holistically in a range of settings, including hospitals, schools, parks, public and recreational spaces; for the population as a whole and for a range of specific population groups including children and youth, the elderly and people with disabilities. The aim of this course will be to assist you in understanding how research and theory can support your capacity to design and create environments that respond to human needs and support our health and wellbeing.
