Description

This course builds in complexity from previous design course knowledge by introducing the student to fundamental elements of current business practices from the profession of Interior architecture and the integration of design and practice. Projects deal with interiors of a branded nature (hospitality, retail, commercial) in small to medium scale buildings. These professional designing skills provide students with information and knowledge required to comprehend the practices, processes and procedures within the profession of interior architecture and the relationship to design. Scholarly links are fostered within a lecture and studio based setting between the activities of the design studio and the profession of interior architecture.
