Description

Introduction to propulsion systems; history, types, basic thrust, efficiency equations, propellers, rotors and fans.
Engine intakes.; subsonic, supersonic, scramjets, ramjets, gas turbines, piston engines, design performance. Rockets, noise, pollution. Future propulsion systems. Further wind tunnel testing and numerical experimentation with computational fluid dynamics
