Description

Subject Area: International Relations
This course can also be studied in the following specialisations: Australian Studies & Politics

The Australian Foreign Policy course introduces students to the theory and practice of Australian foreign policy (including, to the extent possible, defence, immigration and trade policy) across a range of key policy relationships and interests. The emphasis is on developing a critical understanding of Australian foreign policy, Australia's international interests and the ways in which those interests are pursued. Students are encouraged to address the subject through critical reflection and debate, drawing where possible on current issues in foreign policy development and formulation.
