Description



This is a hybrid course. It is available to both undergraduate and postgraduate students. The course content, delivery and assessment will be identical for both groups of students.

Subject Area: European Studies

Examines the interwar years as an especially formative and innovative period in 20th century European history. Discusses socio-economic and political reforms (liberal-parliamentary democracy in Germany, socialism in the Soviet Union), and of cultural and artistic innovation and experimentation (arts and literature, visual arts, cinema, sciences, social theory).
